SDSG NDP Nomination Meeting and AGM:
The Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry Provincial NDP riding association nominated Cornwall City Councillor Elaine MacDonald as their candidate for the next provincial election at their nomination meeting on March 27 at the Navy Veterans Association in Cornwall. Prior to the nomination meeting, the Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry Provincial and Federal NDP riding associations held their annual general meetings and elected their executive members for 2013.

SDSG NDP Thank-you BBQ on August 12th 2012:
The Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry Federal and Provincial NDP riding associations held their annual Celebration & Thank You BBQ in Lamoureux Park in Cornwall on Sunday August 12th. The BBQ featured food and drinks, games for children of all ages, kite flying, and musical entertainment by local talent. Performers included Tracey Lalonde, Stephanie Coleman, Chris Benton, and Joe Hehir. Brian Lynch, President of the local NDP riding associations stated: “Two hundred local residents joined the fun to help celebrate the advances that the NDP has made in recent years. The BBQ also thanked NDP members, supporters, and the general public for their support.”
SDSG NDP Tommy Douglas Dinner on April 27th 12th 2012:
The Tommy Douglas fundraiser dinner took place on April 27 2012 at the Cornwall Golf and Country Club in Cornwall. Lynch stated: "We are very pleased that Peter Tabuns, M.P.P. for Toronto-Danforth and the Ontario NDP education and energy critic, will be the guest speaker at the Tommy Douglas dinner". Before being elected to Queen's Park in a by-election in March 2006, Tabuns served as a city councillor in Toronto from 1990-97, as executive director of Greenpeace Canada from 1999 to 2004, and as a special advisor on climate change to Jack Layton from 2004 to 2005. Lynch said: "Since being elected to Queen's Park, Peter has brought new initiatives to create good jobs while fighting climate change and to keep people safe from toxins".
